S7 Airlines

On August 1, 2019, S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest private airline, reverted its name back to Siberia, as it was known until 2008, to draw public attention to the wildfires in the Siberian region. Next, S7 Airlines announced the 1,000,000 trees initiative — the airline’s pledge to donate proceedings from each ticket sold to Siberia to plant trees in the region. A website was launched that allowed people to donate their own money or miles to plant trees in Siberia.
