In response to counterfeit culture in the fashion industry, Diesel created its own knock-off brand called ‘Deisel’. To launch it, an authentic knock-off store was opened in New York City's counterfeit district. At the store, unsuspecting shoppers were able to get real Diesel items, disguised as ‘Deisel’, at knock-off prices.
